For 2012, we have added two Olympic Lifting Training Camps in conjunction with USAW Senior International Coach Paul Fleschler. The Spring O-Lift Camp will take place during the last part of the CrossFit Open Sectionals and if you don't get that Open workout done earlier in the week, we will enable you to do that weeks Open Sectional workout on Saturday morning. The Camp will have two Olympic Lifting sessions per day, as well as lectures and extensive video analysis. There are 30 athlete slots for this camp.
Once a CrossFitter can physically do all of the exercises necessary to do most CrossFit.com workouts as prescribed, the major difference between the top CrossFitters and the rest of us is the amount of weight that they can move. Both in a max effort lift situation, but more importantly, in their timed workouts. This camp will give you the skills and knowledge necessary to improve in this vital area.
Everyone that attended last summer's O-Lift Camp learned a ton, had a lot of fun, and then virtually everyone set PRs in the final lifting session on Sunday afternoon.
Paul Fleschler earned a masters degree in Motor Control and Learning from Indiana University, is CrossFit Weightlifting certified, is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (C.S.C.S.) and USA Weightlifting Senior International Coach where he has represented the United States at several international weightlifting competitions as Head and Assistant Coach.
As an athlete, Paul’s greatest honor was representing the United States at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics in Weightlifting. Paul is the former Men’s National Coach for USAW and the former Men’s and Women’s Resident Coach at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. He also served in a supportive role for USA Weightlifting at the 2004 and 2008 Olympic Games.
This is an unbelievable opportunity to work with one of the best Olympic Lifting Coaches in the country. If you are serious about improving your O-Lift technique, this is a camp that you do not want to miss.
